Jim Kane, President and CEO of the Systems and Software Consortium, Incorporated (SSCI), announced today the appointment of David Popovich to be Vice President and General Manager of the State Information Technology Consortium (SITC), an affiliate of SSCI. Popovich was most recently SITC’s Director of Business Development. Prior to SITC, he was Vice President of Technology Services at MAXIMUS, Inc. and had held senior positions at Lockheed Martin and human service agencies in Wisconsin and Florida. Popovich brings over 30 years of human services and healthcare experience to SITC.
"David’s expertise in the Federal/State information systems and technology marketplace, and his business experience in both the private and public sectors make him an excellent choice for this position,” said Kane.
Popovich assumes the leadership of SITC from Mr. Robert Glasser, SSCI Vice President and General Counsel and President of SITC, who retired last week. Glasser joined the Consortium in 1990 and provided sound legal guidance to SSCI and its employees during that time. In addition, Glasser conceived the idea of creating SITC and under his leadership, it grew from a start-up to a multi-million dollar organization helping all 50 states and the federal government with their human services technology and program challenges.
“Bob has been a tremendous asset to both SSCI and SITC over the last seventeen years and has provided leadership, integrity and sound counsel to me, our board and member companies, and the entire staff of SITC,” said Kane. “Both the SSCI and I personally wish Bob the best as he begins another new chapter in his life.”
Mr. Glasser will continue to provide legal counsel to SSCI and serve as a consultant to SITC.
