September 25, 2007: The State Information Technology Consortium (SITC) announced that it has been awarded a $1.1 million contract by the Department of Health and Human Services to provide training services to State governments on behalf of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). The contract calls SITC to offer a national meeting of State Child Welfare IT Managers, regional training sessions for State IT staff, webinars, webcasts, and on-line tutorial in support of improving the capacity of States to develop and maintain their information systems which support child welfare practice.
SITC president Robert Glasser stated, “SITC is thrilled about the opportunity to partner with HHS in providing these valuable services to States and build upon the great work accomplished over the last 5 years under our previous contract. Helping States increase their internal capacity to manage complex information systems projects like child welfare automated systems is a smart investment which can have a profound impact on the lives of vulnerable children.”
SITC is a national non-profit organization that provides technology and collaboration services to federal, state, and tribal government agencies to promote efficiency in human services programs.
